National Park camps tend to be less expensive than the private ones.

They are clean, we'll maintained and serviced daily. 

 

 

Main Camps (known as Rest Camps)

 

Berg-en-Dal  - best area for viewing rhino. Walking trail in camp. Closest to Johannesburg.

Crocodile Bridge - best area for viewing wild/painted dog. Take-away cafe. Go for a perimeter safari tent.

Letaba - best place to see leopard. Elephant museum. Go for a perimeter safari tent to see elephants!

Lower Sabie - best for viewing hippo. Beautiful dining deck overlooks the river. Perimeter bungalows set in lawns. 

Mopani - best area to see elephant on the road! Air-conditioned dining room. Ladies bar.

Olifants - best place to view the reserve. Panoramic location. Go for bungalows with a view.

Orpen - best place to see honey badgers. Intimate camp. Family & couples. Lion area.

Pretoriuskop - best place to see impala in camp. Serene surrounds with trees & lawns. Best pool area of all the camps.

Punda Maria - best place to hear and see Bushbabies. Safari tents are the highlight. Great breakfasts.

Satara - best place to see lion. Floodlit waterhole, beautiful plains. Good shop. Bush breakfast & dinner available.

Shingwedzi - best place to see crocodiles. Some of the best drives in the park nearby. Largest elephant seen here.

Skukuza -  best place to see buffalo. Large camp, best facilities. Selati Restaurant. Post office, bank.

 

Satellite Camps (close to Rest camps)

 

Balule - best place to see hyena. Rustic, serene with amazing sunsets on the baobab tree. Lamplight only.

Malelane - best place to see cheetah on plains nearby. Small tranquil camp. Monkeys and squirrels in shady trees. 

Tamboti - best place to see genet. Go for the elevated semi-luxury tents with an en-suite. Starlit nights.

 

Bushveld Camps

 

Bateleur - best place for seeing caracal, buffalo herds. Rustic. Great hide.

Biyamiti - best place for seeing civet, kudu. Serene . Go for chalets with views or no.15.

Shimuwinibest place for viewing marsh and waterbirds. Modern chalets, lush lawns.

Sirheni - best place for birding. Tranquil, private views over the river. Private patios.

Talamati - best place to see baboons, plains grazers. Shaded cottages overlook a dry riverbed.Tranquil. 2 hides.

  

Campsites

 

Tsendze - best place to hear wildlife at night. Elephants. Secluded rustic camp. No generators, no power.

Maroela - best place to see nocturnal wildlife in the sandy riverbed. Freezer. Pick perimeter sites.

 

Overnight hides

 

Sable - best place to hear lion, elephant at night. A wild experience in a secluded space. Mosquito nets.

Shipandani - best place to see hippo right outside! Hear owls, night jars through the night. Mosquito nets.

 

Bush Lodges

 

Bouldersbest place to see tsessebe, giraffe at your exclusive camp. Private cook, ranger.

Roodewalbest place to see elephant herds right outside the fence! An exclusive experience.
